YourSide operates under its Internal Organisational Regulations, with an Independent Panel serving as the Unit’s leadership and governing authority. Panel members, Special Advisors, members of the Survivors Advisory Group, Secretariat and volunteers perform their tasks in compliance with the applicable legislation and the Organisational Regulations, and in adherence to the principles of trauma-informed safeguarding and child-protection excellence, independence, confidentiality, commitment, and transparency.
Independent Panel
The Independent Panel is composed of members appointed by the FIFA Foundation for their experience and expertise in areas relevant to YourSide’s mission. The members serve in their individual capacities, on a voluntary basis and independent from any organisation or entity. The Independent Panel’s responsibilities include, among others, the appointment and dismissal of Secretariat staff, approval of YourSide’s standards and policies, list of external experts, the strategic plan, annual budget, and the activity report. The Panel may also seek the counsel of the Special Advisors on specific matters related to YourSide’s work, such as sport and integrity, law enforcement, and statutory systems. As the key stakeholder of YourSide, the Panel is further sup-ported by a Survivors Advisory Group.
