Ian Ackley (ENG)

Former professional football player and long time disclosed sexual abuse survivor in football. First coming forward in 1994. Ian Ackley has 37 years experience in social care across statutory services, the voluntary/third and private sectors.

Ian has contributed to multiple television documentaries and many other media engagements, spanning over almost 30 years. He previously founded a survivor support and engagement charity in 2017 before starting his now role delivering the ‘Survivor Support and Advocacy Service ‘ (S.S.A.S) for the last 6 years.
